elainasaunt, but have just gotten around to posting it.
1. 5 things you can see without getting up: My small and unimportant collection of crystalline glazed pottery, two kalidoscopes, my late mother’s perfume bottle collection, a pair of watercolors of Ben Lars in Scotland and a trio of dry point etchings of forest scenes in the Cascades.
2. Cake or pie? Tarts – preferably lemon
3. Favorite method for relaxing and forgetting your troubles. Writing fic, beading.
4. Latest obsession? Writing single sentence porn fics for White Collar.
5. What do you hear right now? The ringing in my ears
6. Who was the last person you hugged? My sister
7. What is/was for dinner? Pasta, probably.
8. What did you do yesterday? Got up, showered, stopped for breakfast, went to work, wrote sentence porn on my iPad during lunch, worked some more, left work, had dinner, went to Starbucks and spent three hours writing and commenting on sentence porn, left Starbucks, came home and wrote and commented some more, then went to sleep.
9. Dog person or cat person? Dogs. While I like cats (and would consider owning one if not deathly allergic), I get much emotional satisfaction from dogs.
10. What's the farthest you've ever traveled? Dubai, UAE.
11. What was the last thing that you bought? Venti black ice tea with lemonade in Starbucks last night.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go? In the following order – Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Australia, New Zealand.
13. Where do you see yourself in five years? Living and working in Seattle, or conversely living and working exactly where I am right now.
14. Favorite album. Do I have to pick just one? If so, the one piece of music I could never live without is J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti, Trevor Pinnock conducting After that, From Spain, To Spain, a collection of secular songs from Medieval Spain – Vox, Meet You There by Oysterband and Sign No More by Mumford & Sons.
15. What are you doing this weekend? The Whole Bead Show in NYC with V, and meeting with
jrosemary.
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play? The bagpipes. If you knew me, you’d know why!
17. What place(s) have you visited that you could happily keep going back to? Paris, the Ile St. Louis; London, Grosvenor Square, Seattle, Winthrop (Sun Mountain), Pacific Grove, CA, US-1 between Monterey and San Luis Obispo (Big Sur, and south).
