I think that was the slashiest episode ever. Prom picture, epic breakup, "enjoy it while it lasts". Yeah. I love my het ships like burning, but there's nothing like some good old fashioned slash action.
But the moral of the story is: everyone looks hot in tuxes. I was actually kind of hoping for a little bit more comment on Peter in one from El, but I'll take the super hot kiss. I was missing them together last week.
I'm also a big fan of the last scene with Neal and Peter sans ties with open collars on those tuxes. Guhhhhh.
This may be an unpopular fandom opinion, but I'm not a fan of Mozzie-focused episodes. By the Book is easily my least favorite episode. Mozzie's like spice in soup for me. Too much and it overpowers the flavor. Just enough and it's perfect. So I wasn't really looking forward to this one, at least not in a super excited way. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. And not just the shippy character stuff. I liked the story and plot of it too, which, as we all know, is surprising for me. :D
I loved the opening with everyone getting their boring assignments. I love Jones and his dry delivery of his lines.
Ummm... I think that's all I have for now. I'll have to see on the rewatch.
