I wrote this before Neal/Sara became canon. And while I like her as a character, I am not convinced of their relationship either. I think that the are hot together in the way that two beautiful people macking on each other are hot, but I don't see a true emotional connection there.
That being said, I find myself agreeing that she may be more of a prop to "Neal Caffrey" than a true love interest.
