Meme: Date Me (Year Two)

My second anniversary in fandom is here!

Well, to be completely accurate, it it either just passed or is tomorrow - so I'm splitting the difference. You see, my first fandom post (and go read it if you want a laugh at my expense) occured on February 26, 2010 and my very first fanfic was published on March 9, 2010.

For the second year, I want to celebrate this dubiously momementous occasion much in the same way I celebrated my first anniversary (and the way I expect to celebrate all my fandom anniversaries).

I would like everyone on my flist to pick a two dates between February 26, 2011 and March 7, 2012, and ask me about what I posted that day and why. I am asking for two dates in case one of the days you pick (which should be at random - don't look at my calendar) was a date that I did not post anything. If you're lucky, you may pick a date with multiple postings! If both dates are empty, I'll let you know, and if both dates have postings, I'll comment on both!

You may get some DVD commentary out of it, or a reassessment on a life issue, or something altogether completely different.

Heh, I'm not doing too well at this, am I. I phased right over the years. I had it in my head that you wanted to do the dates between your first post and your first story (which I know is the ninth, and your cutoff was the 7th, which was confusing, but I keep getting interrupted today, so didn't go back to double check before putting down my answer). So, with that out of the way, I'll switch to:

September 16th, 2011 and February 19th, 2012

I posted a slightly belated Valentine's Day fic:

What It Feels To Be Complete, wherein Neal has the v-day blues, until he discovers an unexpected present. This was a short ficlet I wrote on V-day for my dear friend penguingal in response to the little ficlet she wrote for me. It just took a few days to polish and post.

The second post of the day was an update on the progress of The Bracelet (which I finished on Monday).

I finally had a chance to read the story and absolutely loved it. I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's day, but you posted it on my birthday, so that was cool. And, even though Valentine's Day isn't my thing, I still felt like a big puddle of mush when I finished - so sweet and wonderful.

Also, I hadn't realized just how much effort it took to make that bracelet. I hope you find something you can do with it, now that its done.

Happy (belated) birthday!

That story was a lot of fun, thank you for reading it. I'm not a fan of V-day or v-day fics, tbh, but I had been given a comment fic and got bitten by the plot bunnies when returning the favor.

The bracelet can be worn - but only for special occasions, when I don't have to use my hands alot. And it makes a pretty ornament on my dresser.
