Am I the only one who caught the reference to Blade Runner in last night's ep? 

I've been browsing around a bunch of post ep recaps, and no one mentioned that the baddie's name - Deckard - might be a nod to Rick Deckard.  So I did what any fangirl would do... I tweeted the White Collar writers (who rarely answer me) and Jeff Eastin.

It sort of flitted against the corners of my memory and when I saw it spelled out...it was the absolutely perfect AH HAH moment.

As much as Peter likes smart...Eastin understands that the show loves smart - and loves the layers and the misdirection and the puzzles. He loves that the fans trust him to bring the intelligence. Now I just wish his writers were just as smart about their fact checking...or at least hire a lawyer as an advisor.

I was really, really surprised that I was the only one who caught it. I spent my lunch hour trolling the other post-ep recaps...and saw nothing.

It's kind of a Yeah Me! moment...I don't have too many of those (where I'm the first to catch something).

Hey that's awesome! I love how interactive Jeff Eastin, the writers and even the cast are! The writers or Jeff have never answered any of my posts, but I did get a reply once from Sharif!
