Yes, Virginia, there are such things as "service kangaroos"

And apparently, bringing them into your local McDonalds is frowned upon.

According to New York Magazine, a woman carrying a diapered baby kangaroo was asked to leave a Wisconsin McDonalds because other patrons were grossed out.

I know people have service dogs, service cats, and I've even seen miniature horses with "service animal" tags, but a kangaroo? In Wisconsin?

[livejournal.com profile] aragarna, can you confirm?

And a gratuitous pictures of many bebbeh kangaroos.

I don't know what the deal is with service kangaroos, but I know that federal accessibility laws have recently (in the past few years) been clarified to say that service animals other than dogs and horses (which are usually "support" animals rather than service animals) don't have to be given the same access to public accommodations.

LOL hmmm no idea... *scratches head*
I don't even know how a cat could be of any service use ?

LOL Sorry! Sometimes I forget to check translations. /o\
But just so you know, caca is French for poop too. ;-)

How could anybody be grossed out by a baby kangaroo?

It's all that cheese clogging their arteries. :-)

Seriously - look at those dirty little things! They aren't even wearing any clothes!

Looks like they are on the set of Magic Mike just in their bathrobes.

Guess I'm traumatized now and can't go to work. Extra-long weekend, here I come! *ringsthewinebell*

Haha. I think even Moz would be slightly weirded out by me... or maybe he'll find me endearing... or just leave me with an extra glass of wine and scamper away to safety. LOL.

And I swear one of those saucy little kangas was lounging just as provocatively as our beloved Matty.

Oh, and thanks for the visual... I think I need a mop for all my drool... :-D

Looking at how Matt has his knees bent.... makes my knees hurt. That is one "bendable" hunk...Very limber. Heh.

Damn! I need a service-kangaroo, for... reasons.

Or a service-koala, red panda, suger-glider or numbat. :O

Baby Kangaroos aww how can any one be grossed out by them.

I can haz a babeh kangaroo?!?!?!

I'm not sure how well they get on with fuzzy bears, but I'm willing to give it a go!

[identity profile] pooh-collector.livejournal.com 2015-02-05 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well of course they are. But, they are just as stuffed as the fuzzy bear.

A realz babeh kangaroo would be a bit of a different thing, specially when it grows up and can kick the doors right off the McDonald's.

OMG, those are adorable!

That kangaroo was probably the least disgusting thing in McDonalds.
