Okay folks...here's the place for the writers and the judges to sign up for "White Collar Brackets - the Doing it in DC 2013 Edition".

Please comment as either Writer or Judge and if you're eliminated as a writer and want to be a judge, note that, too.

Also, if you don't want to write or judge but want to be an Admin - you get the fics after the writing period closes and then forward them to the judges - please note that too. ETA - Admins will need to be on-site. Just easier that way.

No, sadly, it's about 3000 miles too far . . . but I thought that people who weren't going to be in DC could play too . . .

We had considered having writers participate remotely, but the logistics are difficult.

It doesn't seem like it'd be THAT hard...

I'll judge if you need me to but my enthusiasm was for writing.

It's a little more complicated than it seems - particularly with timing. When you're a judge, you're committing for just one round, but if you're a writer, you're committing to all four and that would mean you'd need to be available for the entire weekend. We haven't set the round times yet.

HOWEVER, there's going to be other writing events, like round robins, other prompt games and word wars - which will probably run concurrent with some of the bracket rounds. You can be looped in for those.

Oh, I think I misread. I guess the only way to participate if you're not on site is to be a judge? I thought it was only admin you had to be on site for.

There's really no way to be a writer remotely? There seems like there should be a workaround for that.
