Dear Chocolate Box Creator

Dear Chocolatier

I'm so glad you've been matched with me! I'm pretty easy going and almost guaranteed to love what you've created for me.

AO3 Name: [archiveofourown.org profile] elrhiarhodan and I'm the same everywhere – here on DW, on LJ ([livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan, although I'm not there anymore), on Tumblr ([tumblr.com profile] elrhiarhodan)

Fandom #1 – Kingsman

This is a new and unexpected love. A while ago, a very dear friend had mentioned that she'd fallen deep into the Kingsman trashpit, but at the time, I was in a similar pit for the Flash fandom, so I kinda shrugged and smiled and said, oh that's nice. And then I finally watched the movie (knowing that the sequel was coming out soon). And HO BOY did I fall and fall hard.

This movie and the relationships are tailor made for me – hot, older men, smart younger man, angst and heroics and so much sub-textual slash! And an AO3 archive filled with excellent stories. I've fallen and fallen hard and I have no plans on getting up and out anytime soon.

Relationship(s): I am a multi-shipping mama. I adore the fandom's primary ship – Hartwin (Harry Hart | Galahad / Gary "Eggsy" Unwin), but I am just as heavily invested in Merwin (Merlin/Eggsy) and Merlahad (Merlin/Harry) and Merhartwin (Merlin/Harry/Eggsy). What I love about these characters is their competence, their self-assurance, their moments of despair. I love the ancillary characters – Roxy | Lancelot, and how fandom has fleshed out Percival and James | Lancelot.

What I'm not fond of is The Golden Circle. The gratuitous deaths of Roxy and the rest of Kingsman, and then Merlin's pointless death at the end of the movie have made this a no-go for me. And while I refuse to bash Eggsy's relationship with Princess Tilde (and their subsequent marriage), I simply don't like it. TGC and Stateman characters can be used to move the story along, but I don't want a story that focuses on them.

Fandom #2 – Kingman/White Collar Crossover

Isn't it a fandom rule that when you fall in love with a new fandom, you have to cross it over with your old fandoms? Well, to me, Kingsman and White Collar seem made for each other. My headcanon is that Neal Caffrey had once been a Kingsman candidate but couldn't shoot his dog. I would love to see Neal turning Kingsman on its head, or maybe Neal and Peter encounter Merlin, Harry and Eggsy and hijinks ensue.

Relationship(s):

Neal and Eggsy as friends would be incredible – can't you just see Neal schooling Eggsy on how to properly pick a pocket? Or Eggsy teaching Neal how to make a proper martini (remember Neal ordering a vodka martini with Ketel One in Out of the Box?)

Of course, what would be better that Neal Caffrey in a relationship with Harry and/or Merlin? He could be a Kingsman agent or an asset, or they are Neal's marks for some incredible con. The possibilities are endless.

I have no do-not-wants here. Just happy endings!

Fandom #3 – White Collar

This is my original fandom, my purest love. I spent many happy years wallowing in the Peter/Neal and Peter/Elizabeth/Neal trashpit. It's actually what brought me into fandom culture and I will never not love White Collar.

Relationship(s): I used to be far more ecumenical with my 'ships, but since the show ended, I find that I've gotten a little orthodox when it comes to romantic ships. It's Peter/Neal or Peter/Elizabeth or Peter/Elizabeth/Neal provided the story is AU or set before Season Six. For some reason, I can't process PEN with Baby Neal in the picture. Friendship stories involving Mozzie or Reese Hughes or Diana or Clinton will be awesome and much loved.

What I don't want is Neal/Sara, Neal/Kate, Neal/Rebecca | Rachel. I have no problem with these ladies, and in fact, I adore Sara Ellis, but I just don't ship them with Neal for fic purposes. And of course, it should go without saying, no bashing, please.

Fandom #4 – Original Fic

This is the first time I've ever requested Original Fic and I've picked a bunch of interesting archetypal pairings. What I'd want in an original fic is what I'd want in an story for a fandom – characters treating their romantic or platonic partners with respect, challenging them, loving them. A little angst is wonderful, but happy endings are very important (and I think essential to the challenge). Romance is preferred, but friendship is wonderful. Smut is not essential.

I do love age dynamics (Kingsman and White Collar are prime examples of this) where one partner is older, more experienced, but not necessarily wiser or smarter than the younger partner. I'm a mature adult and consider older to be 45+ and younger to be 25+ (just so we're clear, we're not talking about underage characters).

I hope this help you! Can't wait to see what you write for me.
