I don't see any reason to be ashamed to be superficial every once in a while. I am looking forward to this film and I do hope it'll be what's the first one was supposed to be.

I don't mind the shallow - my reservations are more that the first movie was really kind of an awful let down.

I am wondering how getting so badly disappointed by the Emmy's impacts Matt in these next upcoming projects, either in effort or attitude. Granted there is no comparison between Normal Heart and Magic other than cameras are used. Maybe the selection of material IS going to be the big effect. I'm not suggesting that Matt would be anything less than professional but I would cut him some serious slack if he no longer immerses himself in a part.
