Lovely fic, with a realistic ending. I love that Peter realizes that he also thinks it's okay to break the rules for certain things, and that it's devastating to Neal to say that Neal can't change (clearly, Neal's attempts at not being a criminal have been solely because Peter wanted him to change and not some belief that non-crime is objectively better than crime).

I love the reveal that Peter hasn't slept with Neal since his 'distance' decision - that makes his whole speech much more cruel.
