That was lovely. I would love to hear Diahann Carroll singing Leadbelly's "Bourgeois Blues," about the problems he and his wife had trying to find a place to live in Washington, D. C. in the 1930's. Pete Seeger tells the story of Leadbelly complaining to a white friend, who said something like "Don't let it get you down, Huddie; Washington's a bourgeois town." So he wrote this:
