You drove me to Wikipedia to figure out Neal's nickname, because my eighth-grade weather unit was over 50 years ago. "Cumulonimbus" is perfect for him: associated with thunderstorms, lightning, and unpredictable weather conditions. That's our boy! And every time I reread this, I find something new to love: now it's Neal with the munchies cramming two cookies in his mouth at once. I bet he looked like this (from the USA forum):
