I'm only part-way through reading this, but can I just say I love Ze'ev? "You old wolf," indeed. :-)

And the Meyer Lansky story is one of my favorites. I tend to say that the government explained to him the difference between escaping persecution and escaping prosecution and put him back on a boat.
