This was so well written that it was hard to read; I'll confess to skimming over the worst parts. I hope the writers don't take it as far as this, but you have certainly come up with a way to get Neal back without facing prison, and Peter without being fired. After all this brutality, up to and including rape, the government owes Neal more than it could ever repay. And I hope it comes out of Kramer's hide. Looking forward eagerly to the sequel.
