In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics (leave a character/pairing if you want one of these :) ), graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc.).

The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!

P/E/N - The Horrors of a Shopping Trip

The three of them were in Ulta - Neal and El needed some hair product and Peter was left to wander the aisles. He wasn’t too happy about being stuck in this type of store, but when he got to the nail polish section, he was completely mystified. Some of the colors looked identical - and the names: Not a Waitress and Romanov Scarlet (which was actually purple) were just crazy.

Maybe they’d looked different out of the bottle. Peter glanced to the left and then to the right – there was no one around. He twisted open the sample bottle and swiped the brush against his thumbnail - nope. Romanov Scarlet was plum purple. No mistaking that. Now, he needed to get it off his nail, and looked around for a tissue or something. There were none and he tried wiping it off with his other hand, but that just left a sticky purple mess.

"Whatcha doing, Peter?"

Neal snuck up behind him and the bottle and the brush went flying. The bottle didn't spill, but suddenly, there was a long purple streak down his favorite tie. He wondered if Neal planned this. He always hated that tie.

Thank you for the lovely treat! You always know how to toss inspiring images my way. I love the image of Peter in a nail polish covered tie and Neal grinning at him like a loon. :-D

This is fun. I love Peter's curiosity driving him to try on mail polish. Of course now he needs to buy the bottle now so that Neal can finish doing the rest of his nails. Maybe his toenails too.
