Josh Lanyon is probably the best male M/M writer out there - because he's not writing erotica, but seriously good fiction.

I don't remember ever really enjoying male written erotica - after the initial smut rush - most of the stories were pretty meh...not much focus on the internal motivation at all. The Nexus imprint was better than average, but not really my cup of tea after the first read.
